Phone-Com System

Use

The Steed PC series is a telephone style Phone-Com system provides quick, direct, easy on-board communication for both land based and marine installations where wired communications is required between two or more locations. Individually numbered buttons allow selective paging of up to 10 stations.

The Phone-Coms operate on 12V DC. They are available in either classic white or traditional  lack to complement any decor. Each comes with a bracket for wall mounting. Two models of the Phone-Com are available.

PC-10 Up To Ten Stations

This model is offered for larger vessels where multiple station calling capability is desired. When  the PC-10 system in place, communication can take place between up to 10 stations such as the galley, staterooms, engine room and bridge. Any station can be individually selected and called by any other station.
The phone base features 10 numbered call-buttons and a label is provided for identifying the different stations. The PC-10 is sold individually, so that the system can be sized to requirements.
 
Slave Option

If it is preferred the PC-10 can be wired with 2 or more model PC-2 Phone-Coms (also available from STEED) to make a combination of master/slave system.
 
 
This set is provided for smaller vessels where phone communication between only two points is required such as between a fly bridge and salon, or between motor home driver and bedroom for instance. The PC-2 set comes with two phone instruments, 40 feet (12 meters) of color coded, multi-conductor interconnect wire and all necessary mounting hardware. A single button on the base of each phone is provided for calling the other station. A buzzer sounds and an indicator lamp illuminates on the other station when the call button is pressed. The PC-2 phone intercom is also available individually without the interconnect wire.
 
With this system, each of the slave phones is able to page the master phone but not any other of the slave phones. The master is able to page all other phones. This allows for central control of telephone traffic. The master/slave wiring system is illustrated below
